    Kristin Borchardt is the founder of Nook Studios, a thoughtfully curated yoga space nestled in the heart of Mount Maunganui. With a background as a qualified Occupational Therapist and over 18 years of experience teaching yoga, Kristin brings a therapeutic and deeply intentional approach to every offering. Her work is grounded in the belief that mindful movement and nervous system regulation are the cornerstones of holistic wellbeing. Kristin also hosts transformational yoga retreats in both New Zealand and Bali, drawing from her lifelong passion for movement, nature, and cultural connection. Her retreats blend gentle yet powerful yoga practices with nourishing food, self-inquiry, and space to simply be. Whether on the mat, in the studio, or immersed in retreat, Kristin’s work is a gentle invitation back to presence.

Based in Mount Maunganui, Chris is also one of the region’s most sought-after massage therapists—renowned for his intuitive touch and therapeutic skill.

    Chris’s passion for health and vitality extends beyond the studio. A true lover of the ocean, he’s often found sea kayaking, surfing, or immersed in multisport adventures. His lifestyle reflects a lived understanding of balance, movement, and connection to nature. Whether on the mat or the water, Chris brings a grounded, heart-led presence and a lifetime of wisdom to support others on their own journey to wellness.

    Originally from the UK and now based in beautiful Mount Maunganui, Charlotte completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Northland - March 2024. Yoga has been part of her life since childhood, and over the years it has become a grounding and guiding experience - one she now feels privileged to share with others.

    With a professional background in mental health, Charlotte brings over nine years of experience as a therapist into her teaching. This deeply informs the way she holds space, with a strong focus on mindfulness, self-awareness, and the connection between body and mind. Her classes are designed to be supportive and empowering, helping you to feel grounded, regulated and strong both on and off the mat.

    Outside the studio, you’ll often find Charlotte running, hiking, or spending time in the ocean—anything that keeps her connected to nature and the present moment.

With a background in hospitality, she understands the art of creating space where people feel truly cared for, supported, and seen. Her strong passion for whole foods shines through in the way she lives and shares yoga, always with an awareness that nourishment extends far beyond the mat. Malika’s offerings invite you to slow down, connect inward, and feel the fullness of being nurtured in both body and spirit.
